Emmanuel Doni-Kwame

Secretary General, International Chamber of Commerce Ghana

Emmanuel Doni-Kwame is a trade, development and management consultant with 25 years of practical experience with trade, environment and energy issues including children’s rights, disabilities’ rights and inclusion of other marginalised groups. He has profound experience with quantitative household surveys, qualitative research methodologies including focus group discussions as well as project evaluations. 

He is currently the Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce in  Ghana and a former Managing Director of World Trade Centre Accra. Emmanuel is also an accredited Trainer of UNCTAD and Service provider for the Business Advocacy Challenge (BUSAC) Fund a Ghana, multi-donor pooled funding mechanisms by DFID, USAID and EU. He is also currently working with partners on an “2nd ICC Africa Sustainable Supply Chain Summit ” project. 

He is a member of the ICC Commission on Trade & Investment whose mandate is to champion open and transparent cross-border investment backed by good regulatory practices, deliver thought leadership on emerging challenges for national customs agencies in areas such as sustainability regulation.s He is also a member of the ICC Commission on Environment and Energy whose mandate is to develop policy recommendations and tools to address major global environmental and energy issues, including climate change and green economy within the framework of sustainable development, and make a substantive contribution to key intergovernmental discussions in these areas. Prepare global business priorities on energy, including infrastructure investment and technological innovation, business systems, access, efficiency, security, and public-private partnerships. Pursue the development of global business positions on climate  change related to the entry into force and implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Paris Climate Agreement, including market and non market mechanisms, climate finance and developing ICC views on trade and climate change.

Emmanuel is the Chairman of Toprope Ghana, an industrial rope access company offering service excellence in inspection and maintenance to oil and gas, petrochemical, energy and renewables.
